Fire in Ajman: investigation underway into big factory blaze

Ajman authorities have begun an investigation into the cause of a big fire that erupted from an oil factory in the emirate on Friday (February 17). The massive fire broke out at around 3:30am in Ajman’s industrial area, and quickly spread to neighbouring warehouses, including a printing press and a residential building. It took firefighters from four emirates to battle the big blaze. Firefighters from Dubai, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain responded to help Ajman firefighters contain the fire. A video shared by Ajman Police showed flames raging high amid big plumes of smoke. Five people were injured in the fire, which also left several cars damaged.
