First 3D-printed mosque to rise in Dubai
The world's first 3D-printed mosque will be built in Dubai. The project is expected to be finished in 2025, following the vision and orders of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The mosque will have a floor size of 2,000 square meters and seating for 600 attendees. The mosque's construction will begin in October of the current year. Three workers will run the robotic printer in the coming year. The printer can print two square meters of building each hour using raw materials and a unique concrete mix. The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities (IACAD) will build the structure in four months using 3D printing technology.
