A Nol card is a prepaid smart card that is used to pay for public transport in Dubai. EXPAT MEDIA
Ever found yourself searching for your Nol card—or forgetting it entirely—at the metro gates? Now, you can skip the hassle by using something you always have with you: your phone! With a recent partnership between Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Samsung Gulf Electronics, Samsung users can now turn their phones into digital Nol cards. It’s quick, convenient, and perfect for those on the go. Here’s how: 1. Download and install the Nol Pay app. 2. After installing, link the app with your UAE Pass for quick login access. 3. Tap on ‘Get my Nol card’. 4. Choose the option 'digitise your Nol card' and have your physical card ready. 5. Hold your Nol card against the back of your phone and keep it in place until the app confirms. 6. Once finished, the app will instruct you to remove your card from behind your phone. The process may take a few minutes for your card to be fully digitised. Keep in mind that your physical card will no longer work once you complete this process.
