Tourists visiting the UAE can now receive a free 5G eSIM with 10GB of data as soon as they arrive the country. Launched by the UAE telecommunications company e&, this eSIM can be self-activated by scanning a QR code and using facial recognition technology to connect. Tourists can activate their 'Free Visitor Line eSIM' right after passing through immigration. It comes with 10GB of free data and is valid for one day, helping tourists connect with others and use important services such as transportation apps right away. “The introduction of a self-activation feature for our Free Visitor Line eSIMs is an important milestone in our journey towards digital transformation.
