A local company is offering free fertility tests to help women manage their fertility, and has been receiving positive responses. On its first day, FemTech company Ovasave welcomed over 300 women to its purple "fertility bus," which was stationed at Central Park Towers in Dubai. “We ran out of test kits and had to ask women to come back on another day,” said Torkia Mahloul, co-founder of Ovasave. “It shows how women want to know more about their fertility.” The bus will travel to various locations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi from September 16-25, giving out free 5-minute Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) test kits. These tests will help women understand their egg reserve and give insights to protect their fertility. It will be stationed at several locations, including Etihad HQ, Abu Dhabi Global Market, Alserkal Avenue, and Dubai Media City. Torkia said the campaign, sponsored by Merck and Dubai Investments, aims to remove the stigma around women’s health topics. After the tests, the company connects women with fertility doctors and other experts to get to know their reproductive health better. Fertility is a person's ability to conceive children. A woman in her early to mid-20s has a 25–30 percent chance of getting pregnant each month. Fertility starts to decline gradually in the early 30s and speeds up after 35. By age 40, the chance of getting pregnant is about 5 percent per month.
