Motorists who incurred traffic fines in Fujairah can get a 50 percent discount on their fines as part of the UAE’s National Day celebration, according to Fujairah Police. The traffic fine discount will be implemented from November 29 and will run for 60 days. It will be applicable to fines incurred before November 26. Serious traffic offenses are not included in the discount scheme. According to Fujairah Police, black points on traffic violations incurred before November 26 will also be cancelled. The decision on Monday (November 21), follows the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah. Earlier this month, Umm Al Quwain and Ajman also announced a 50 percent discount on traffic fines. For Umm Al Quwain, the discount will be applied from December 1 until January 6. In Ajman, motorists can avail of the discount from November 21 until January 6. ICA/Expat Media
