Fujairah fire: investigation underway, 225 workers rescued

  DUBAI - An investigation is underway into the cause of a major fire that destroyed 23 caravans in Fujairah's Murbeh area. There were no casualties and the 225 workers evacuated from the site are now in good health. There is yet no estimate on the total cost of damage, but authorities said the blaze on Monday led to a huge loss of properties. Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze before it could further spread to 97 other caravans in the area. The Fujairah Civil Defence has issued warning to warehouse owners on fire safety rules following the incident on Monday.
