Police in Fujairah have arrested a gang that stole Dh195,000 from a bank customer just three hours after committing the crime. The incident happened on the morning of October 23, when a woman withdrew the cash and was later deceived by the suspects, who claimed her car had a problem with a rear tire. When she stepped out to check, one suspect grabbed the money from inside her vehicle and fled. Police launched an immediate investigation and quickly identified the culprits, who were found to be wanted in similar theft cases in another emirate. Coordinating with Sharjah Police, authorities tracked down and arrested the suspects within hours. Police did not give further details about the suspects' identities or nationality. Brigadier General Dr. Ali Rashid bin Awash Al Yamahi, Director General of Police Operations, praised the officers’ swift response and professionalism. “The operation reflects the readiness and efficiency of our teams to handle complex cases in record time,” he said.
