After three decades of separation, two sisters, one residing in the UAE and the other in Egypt, have been reunited in an emotional encounter thanks to the swift action of Fujairah Police. Their story of love, hope, and resilience has touched hearts across the UAE and beyond. Thirty years ago, the elder sister, who had married a UAE citizen, lost contact with her family in Egypt after her husband’s visit revealed an empty family home. The younger sister, left with only memories and no contact information, never gave up hope of finding her sibling. Recently, after exhausting every other avenue, the younger sister decided to travel to Fujairah to seek help. “The UAE has always been a place where people care deeply for others. I had faith that the authorities would help me find my sister,” she shared tearfully. She arrived in Fujairah and immediately approached the local police department. Colonel Saif Rashid Al Zahmi, Director of the Dibba Police Department, recounted how the team quickly worked to identify and locate her elder sister. “It was a matter of humanitarian duty. We are here to serve and support,” he said, adding that within minutes, they were able to connect the two sisters. The reunion, captured in a touching video shared by Fujairah Police, showed the sisters clinging to each other in tears. They thanked the officers for their commitment to reuniting them and praised the UAE for its welcoming and supportive environment.
