Citizens and expatriates residing in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries must now apply for an e-visa to enter the UAE, as confirmed by the UAE Digital Government. This mandatory requirement enhances security and simplifies entry for travelers from the GCC region. The e-visa allows a 30-day stay within the UAE, with an option to extend for another 30 days. Applications can be submitted via the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) website or through the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP). This requirement applies to all GCC residents, including family members and domestic workers accompanying their sponsors. They must meet specific conditions, including having valid residency permits and passports with a minimum three-month validity. Upon approval, the e-visa is sent to the applicant's registered email. The permit grants 30 days of stay and is extendable once. For GCC citizens, the validity extends to 60 days, with one renewal. ICA/Expat Media
