A German woman has been sentenced to six months in prison and deportation for assaulting a female Dubai Police officer. The Dubai court also found her guilty of verbally abusing the officer during the April 15, 2024 incident. She will be deported after serving her jail term. According to court records, the 43-year-old woman visited Bur Dubai Police Station to report a theft on the day of the incident. Another police officer who witnessed the incident testified that the altercation began when a man entered the police room to inquire about a previous report that he filed. This reportedly agitated the woman, who then used inappropriate language at the officer. When the officer asked her to stop, the defendant physically attacked her, leaving visible injuries. "The woman not only used offensive language but also physically attacked my colleague without provocation," testified a fellow officer. In court, the defendant claimed she acted in self-defense, alleging that the officer had slapped her first. However, the court found no evidence to support her claim.
