How to get to Downtown Dubai on New Year’s Eve 2019

  DUBAI – If you are planning to join the thousands of revelers at Downtown Dubai for New Year’s Eve, here are a few things to keep in mind:

Dubai Metro

You can take the Red line to the The Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa, Business Bay or DIFC metro stations. From there, you will be guided by signs to the viewing venue. The Burj Khalifa station will be closed from 10pm on December 31 until 6am on January 1. During this time, you may use DIFC or Business Bay metro stations.

Bus

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will provide a special bus service to Dubai Mall.

Car

There will be road closures from 4pm on December 31, but you can use the offsite parking at Al Wasl Club, GDRFA (Immigration area) in Bur Dubai and at Mankhool mosque parking area. Shuttle buses will be servicing the area to take you to and from the event area.

Taxi, Careem or Uber

There will be road closures around Dubai Mall starting at 4pm. After this time, you may need to access the mall and the viewing areas by foot.

The street will only be open for buses and emergency vehicles Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard: Closed starting at 5pm Happiness Street: Closed starting at 6pm from Roda Al Murooj intersection; closed from 8pm from Zabeel intersection, closed from Emirates Towers roundabout at 10pm Financial Center Road: Closed starting at 8pm 

Al Sukouk Street: Closed starting at 8pm

Parking

Public parking areas will be free of charge on January 1.
