In celebration of the UAE’s 53rd National Day, Sharjah is offering free entry to all public museums across Sharjah city, Kalba, and Khorfakkan on December 1 and 2. The Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) has also announced a series of cultural events and exhibitions that will run from November 23 through December 3, aimed at deepening appreciation for Emirati heritage. The cultural celebrations kick off on November 23 at Hisn Khorfakkan, where visitors will experience traditional performances and maritime-themed displays. The festivities continue with a heritage event at Bait Al Naboodah on November 26, which will feature workshops, traditional games, and Emirati cuisine from 5pm to 8pm. From December 1 to 3, the Sharjah Maritime Museum will host live performances and activities for all age groups, while Bait Sheikh Saeed bin Hamad Al Qasimi in Kalba will hold a special event on December 2, featuring cultural exhibitions, music, and workshops. The SMA also highlights the ongoing exhibitions at various museums, such as "Letters Exchanged: Correspondence of Sheikh Saeed and His Family" at Bait Sheikh Saeed, which runs until December 31. Visitors can also explore student-inspired artworks at Bait Al Naboodah and delve into Emirati traditions at the Sharjah Heritage Museum. Families and cultural enthusiasts alike are invited to take part in these celebrations, which promise to offer a diverse range of activities and exhibitions, ensuring there’s something for everyone. The Sharjah Archaeology Museum’s "Journey of Discoveries" and the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilisation’s "Eternal Letters" exhibit featuring rare Quranic manuscripts are among the other highlights of this festive period.
