The UAE Golden Visa stands as the most powerful residency permit in the country. It gives expats the freedom to live, work, and study without needing a national sponsor. Unlike other visas that require frequent renewals, the Golden Visa only needs to be renewed every 5 to 10 years. This 10-year residency permit, introduced by the UAE government, is not just for investors and entrepreneurs—it also extends to those who make a positive impact through humanitarian efforts. Volunteering can now open the door to long-term residency, highlighting the country's commitment to recognizing individuals who contribute to the nation's growth and well-being. In this guide, we'll show you how to secure your Golden Visa while making a real difference in the UAE community. Eligibility To get the Golden Visa through volunteering, you need to meet these conditions set by the ICP, which require you to: - Serve in an international or regional organization for 5 years or more. - Be a member of a public benefit group for at least 5 years. - Receive awards from humanitarian groups. - Volunteer for 5 years or complete 500 volunteer hours. - Donate at least 2,000,000 AED to support humanitarian work.
