Global Village, one of Dubai’s most visited family attractions, has announced that Season 29 will officially end on May 11. The multicultural outdoor destination made the announcement via X (formerly Twitter), confirming that it will shut down for the summer as it does annually due to high temperatures. This season, Global Village offered a revamped experience with new cultural exhibits, improved infrastructure, and fresh entertainment options. It also hosted weekly tribute performances for music fans, with notable shows lined up through the end of April. Visitors can still catch a tribute to Queen’s Freddie Mercury on April 16, followed by Taylor Swift on April 23, and Bon Jovi on April 30—part of the destination’s themed entertainment nights every Wednesday. “We’re wrapping up another incredible season on May 11,” the official post said, inviting visitors to “make the most of the remaining weeks.” Each year, Global Village attracts millions of residents and tourists with its cultural pavilions, international food, shopping options, and live shows. Its reopening for Season 30 is expected in the last quarter of 2025, although an official date has yet to be announced. ICA/Expat Media
