Dubai’s iconic family entertainment destination, Global Village, will officially close for the summer season this Sunday (May 11), marking the end of its 29th season. The annual closure comes as temperatures begin to soar across the UAE. Families still have just a few days left to experience the park, which features 30 cultural pavilions, live entertainment, shopping, dining, and exciting rides. As a bonus, children under 12 can enter for free until the final day of the season. In addition to kids under 12, children under 3, senior citizens, and people of determination continue to enjoy free access to the park. Tourists arriving at Dubai International Airport have been given free tickets to the attraction. “This season, we’re giving back to families by offering free entry for children under 12 until we close on May 11,” Global Village shared on social media. Visitors will only need to pay Dh50 on top of the entrance fee to enjoy unlimited Carnaval rides, which includes the 60-metre Festival Wheel, Global Burj, Jamaica Drum and Honolo-Loop, as well as the Holland Wind Wheel Swiss Swing, Seven Sea Pirate and Spania Boat. Global Village is open daily from 4pm until 1am so there’s plenty of time to explore after school and work for families visiting the park. Throughout Season 29, Global Village has maintained its regular daily hours from 4pm until midnight from Sunday to Wednesday, and until 1am on Thursdays to Saturdays. Fireworks displays also take place every Friday and Saturday at 9pm, included in the standard Dh25 ticket price. Global Village has yet to announce the official reopening date for Season 30, though it traditionally returns in October when weather conditions become more favorable for outdoor activities. Until then, visitors can enjoy the Road of Asia, Emirati heritage areas, multicultural performances, and an array of global cuisine—all for just a Dh25 entrance fee.
