Teachers and school leaders in Ras Al Khaimah’s private schools now have a golden opportunity: a self-sponsored 10-year residency visa in the form of a Golden Visa. Here’s what you need to know:

Who can apply?

The Golden Visa is open to school leaders, such as principals, vice-principals, and directors, as well as teachers or qualified educators with a proven positive impact.

What is the eligibility criteria?

Applicants must meet these requirements: • Advanced degree (master’s or PhD). • Minimum of three years working in Ras Al Khaimah. • Contributions to school performance or student outcomes.

How to apply?

School leaders need to submit: • Official appointment letter from the Ministry of Education or RAK DOK. • Proof of qualifications. • Residency and employment documentation. • Evidence of contributions to school improvement. Teachers must provide evidence of meeting at least three of the following criteria: 1. Positive contribution to student learning 2. Positive feedback from students, parents, and school leaders 3. Awards or formal recognition for educational contributions at regional or national level. 4. Positive impact on students of determination 5. Introduction of innovative teaching methods and effective integration of technology. 6. Active participation in professional development. Applications are reviewed by the Ras Al Khaimah Department of Knowledge (RAK DOK), with a two-week processing period. The authority does not charge for application reviews. Eligible applicants will be asked to visit the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security for Golden Visa processing.
