Convenient commuting awaits as passengers can now hail a taxi through WhatsApp with the launch of a new service by e-hailing taxi solution Hala. The new feature is designed to enhance the passenger experience. “WhatsApp enables us to connect with a broader audience and engage with its extensive user base in the city. By adding this new booking channel, Hala is further transforming daily commutes across Dubai,” Hala CEO Khaled Nuseibeh said on Wednesday (September 11). Here's how to book a taxi via WhatsApp:
  1. Send a 'Hi' to 800 HALATAXI (4252 8294) to begin your booking.
  2. The Hala chatbot will request your location to book your ride.
  3. You will get a confirmation with the driver's details and the estimated arrival time.
  4. Track your ride in real time with a live tracking link that can be shared with friends and family.
  5. Pay for your ride with a card/cash/Apple Pay upon reaching your destination.
This new service will be available 24/7, offering passengers convenient access to taxi rides at any time. Even with this new service, Hala will continue to provide its standard booking through the Careem app. FLE/Expat Media
