Several parts of the UAE recorded heavy rainfall on Friday (March 27), as unstable weather conditions continued to affect the country, according to the National Centre of Meteorology. The highest rainfall was recorded in Shoukah, Ras Al Khaimah, which received 77.5mm of rain, making it the most affected area during the latest weather system. Other areas also saw significant rainfall. Kalba in Sharjah recorded 65.8mm, while Umm Al Gaf in Ras Al Khaimah saw 60.6mm. Wadi Al Tuwa in Fujairah recorded 57.2mm, and Al Dhaid in Sharjah registered 53.9mm. The rainfall is part of a broader weather pattern that has brought repeated waves of rain across the country, along with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds. Authorities said cloud formations moving from the western regions triggered intense downpours across several emirates. The National Centre of Meteorology said unstable weather conditions are expected to continue intermittently, with chances of rainfall in scattered areas. Residents were advised to take caution, particularly when driving, due to water accumulation and reduced visibility. Emergency and municipal teams remain on standby, monitoring conditions and responding to incidents to ensure public safety. Motorists have been urged to avoid flooded roads and follow official safety advisories.
