In 20 nations, more than 200 cases of a mysterious hepatitis infection affecting healthy young children have recently been reported. The World Health Organization has received reports of at least 228 probable cases of hepatitis of unknown origin, which was initially detected in the United Kingdom. While the origin is uncertain, research has suggested that the increase in sudden instances may be linked to an adenovirus, which is a common cold virus. Another theory speculates that the Covid-19 restrictions, such as social isolation, have lowered the immunity levels of children. According to the country's Health Ministry, the inexplicable liver illness has claimed the lives of three children in Indonesia. The global death toll is now at least four deaths. The emergence of a possible new disease afflicting only young children - most cases are under the age of 10 with no underlying disorders – has been an increasing concern for the global health community.
