Dubai's vibrant neighborhood of Satwa just got even more exciting for food lovers and Asian cuisine fans. The new Hong Gourmet Hypermarket has officially opened its doors, bringing a one-stop destination for shopping and dining to the heart of the community. Following a successful soft launch earlier this month, the hypermarket celebrated its grand opening on Friday (October 10) at the Al Hudaiba Building in Satwa. The ribbon-cutting ceremony drew a crowd of well-wishers and prominent guests, including Philippine Consul General Marford Angeles, Philippine Business Council Chairman Vangie Monjardin, and League of Food and Beverage Entrepreneurs President Chaida Das. Owners described Hong Gourmet Hypermarket as “the newest one-stop destination to shop and dine in one place,” offering not only a wide range of Asian products but also a unique culinary experience through its in-house restaurant operated by its sister company, Chinese Star Restaurant. Inside the hypermarket, customers can find a treasure trove of authentic Asian ingredients — from fresh seafood and frozen meats perfect for hotpot or barbecue, to crisp vegetables, tropical fruits, assorted sauces, condiments, and ready-to-eat meals. There’s also a section dedicated to Asian snacks and beverages, plus a bakery corner filled with freshly baked breads, cakes, and pastries. The addition of Hong Gourmet Hypermarket further cements Satwa’s reputation as one of Dubai’s most culturally diverse and food-centric areas.
