When summer sizzles in the UAE, some residents beat the heat with a dash of fun and a splash of ingenuity! Here are some of the craziest things caught on video:

Baking a cookie in car

If its hot enough to fry an egg on the pavement, why not bake cookies in a car? Back in 2013, the UAE's AW Rostamani Group launched the "car baked cookie" campaign to show that "if it's hot enough to bake, it's hot enough to cause death." The campaign's video contrasts the idea of baking cookies in a car with the tragic reality of a child's death due to heatstroke. It came after the heartbreaking incident of a 3-year-old boy who died after being left in a car in the UAE.

Frying an egg under the sun

In the scorching UAE heat where temperatures can soar beyond 40°C, a unique and somewhat amusing "eggperiment" has emerged. Many residents, influencers and at least one journalist have playfully attempted to fry an egg on the scorching hot ground or on the bonnet of their car. We're pretty sure there are plenty of satis-frying jokes to be cracked on this one.

Giant ice cubes in swimming pools

Radio star Kris Fade set the trend with a brain-freezing revelation - he filled his swimming pool with gigantic ice cubes! Now, residents across the UAE have taken the plunge, creating their own icy oasis. Swimming in a sea of chilling cubes this sizzling summer? Sign us up!
