Hundreds of Indian expats return to UAE on Etihad flights

ABU DHABI – Hundreds of Indian expatriates returned to the UAE on Saturday (August 7) on Etihad Airways flights from Indian cities to Abu Dhabi. UAE-based carrier Etihad Airways resumed flights from Indian cities of Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday. According to Etihad, passengers holding a valid UAE residence visa can travel on their flights from India to the UAE. Passengers landing in Abu Dhabi are allowed to travel to other emirates via an airport taxi, Etihad chauffeur or Etihad express coach in order to avoid quarantine. Last week, authorities announced that returning expatriates must get approval from the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship to be allowed to board flights to the UAE. All arriving passengers must also take a PCR test on arrival at the Abu Dhabi airport. ICA/Expat Media
