Dubai’s iconic Pepsi factory along Sheikh Zayed Road has been sold for Dh252 million, according to the Dubai Financial Market. Dubai Refreshment PJSC, the company that owns the Pepsi factory, reportedly sold the land to Al Futtaim Private Company LLC. The property is home to the Pepsi factory, warehouse and offices. According to the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), the sale was closed on June 26. Dubai Refreshment said that it sold the property because it has moved its facilities to Dubai Investments Park 2. “Since the company no longer fully utilises the property, the shareholders have decided to sell it under the conditions specified in the resolution of the general assembly held on June 14, 2023,” Dubai Refreshment said in the DFM disclosure. The Pepsi factory has been a fixture along Sheikh Zayed Road since 1959. It is where the Dubai Refreshment Company bottles and distributes Pepsi, and is also the first soft drink manufacturing company in UAE. ICA/Expat Media
