Actor addresses reports Warner Bros. is ushering him out as the Caped Crusader

  LOS ANGELES - Ben Affleck said he is still playing the Caped Crusader as he addressed rumors that he is on the way out. Citing unnamed sources, The Hollywood Reporter (THR) came out with a story last week that Warner Bros., which has cast doubt on Affleck's future in the role of the Caped Crusader. According to the THR's sources, the studio is "working on plans to usher out" Affleck from the role. In last Saturday's Comic-Con in San Diego, Affleck told the audience: "Let me be very clear: I am the luckiest guy in the world. Batman is the coolest part in any universe — DC, Marvel. It's incredible. I'm so thrilled to do it." Affleck and his co-stars at the upcoming "Justice League" movie were at Comic-Con and during the panel interview, Affleck was asked by talk show host Chris Hardwick about the rumors. "I know there was a misconception that because I didn't direct it that I wasn't enthusiastic about it. (But) it's f***ing amazing. And I still can't believe I've done two films and have this great history with this studio." Affleck dropped out as director of the "Batman" film last January as he explained that he "cannot do both jobs to the level they require." Matt Reeves replaced Affleck. Reeves helmed the "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" and the "War for the Planet of the Apes" currently showing in theaters. Meanwhile, Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher presented a new trailer for the "Justice League" movie showing on Nov. 17.
