India resumes international flights on March 27

After a two-year halt due to concerns posed by the pandemic, India authorized scheduled foreign flights to resume on March 27. On March 23, 2020, India discontinued scheduled foreign flight operations. International flights with other countries, on the other hand, continued under bilateral air bubble agreements. The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) said in a statement, "After having recognized the increased vaccination coverage across the globe and in consultation with the stakeholders, the Government of India has decided to resume scheduled commercial international passenger services to/from India from 27.03.2022, i.e. start of Summer Schedule 2022.” International flights must also follow the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare's international travel requirements, in addition to MoCA’s statement.
