 New rules have been established for Indian travelers with only one name on their passports. This week, Air India Express sent a circular to travel agents stating that "any passport holder with a single name (word) either in a surname or given name will not be accepted by UAE immigration and the passenger will be considered as INAD" — a term which stands for an inadmissible passenger. The Consulate General of India in Dubai announced the following guidelines via social media on Thursday: – If the visa is issued with more than one name: The passenger may have father's/family name mentioned on the second page. – For passengers eligible for visa on arrival: Passenger may have father's/family name mentioned on the second page.
