Indian Embassy in UAE issues advisory on unpaid salaries

  DUBAI – Has your employer failed to pay your salary on time? The Indian Embassy in the UAE is urging its citizens to report such cases to the mission. In a notice on Twitter, the embassy urged Indians to go to the Embassy in Abu Dhabi or the Consulate General of India in Dubai to file a report. They can also email the embassy on ca.abudhabi@mea.gov.in or the consulate on cons2.dubai@mea.gov.in and labour.dubai@mea.gov.in. A rising number of cases of job frauds targeting Indian jobseekers has been reported in the UAE, causing alarm for the Indian missions here. The embassy has advised Indian jobseekers to authenticate their employment offers and permits before coming to the UAE in order to avoid fraudulent job recruiters.
