Indian expat in Abu Dhabi wins Dh1 million in Mahzooz

An Indian expatriate in Abu Dhabi is a new millionaire after winning Dh1 million in the Mahzooz draw, organisers revealed on Wednesday (March 15). Dipesh, a graphic designer at a supermarket chain in the UAE capital, is the first person to win Mahzooz’s weekly millionaire draw. Mahzooz recently changed its rules to include a weekly raffle draw with a guaranteed prize of Dh1 million, on top of its weekly grand draw with a Dh20 million jackpot. Dipesh said he was casually checking his inbox when he saw the email from Mahzooz congratulating him on winning the cash prize. “Although I previously won smaller prizes with Mahzooz, I have never been awarded anything this significant,” he said. Dipesh said he has not decided on how to spend the money, but will use some of it to pay off his financial obligations. The Indian expat has lived in the UAE in the past 14 years.
