Indian expat in Dubai wins Dh77,777 twice in 30 days
DUBAI – After 16 years of living in Dubai, an Indian expatriate experienced a shower of good luck after winning Dh77,777 not once, but twice in less than 30 days. Shreeram Shana Naik, 46, said he couldn’t believe his good fortune after his successive wins in Emirates Draw. “Saying I was stunned is an understatement. I can’t believe that the numbers I chose matched the draw twice in less than a month!” Naik said. What does he plan on doing with the money he won? “Winning is exciting and I plan on investing this money in a variety of different stocks,” said Naik, who matched five out of seven numbers from the winning sequence of two recent Saturday draws. Naik said he has no plans of stopping his participation in Emirates Draw, which has a jackpot of Dh100 million, considered the largest prize money in UAE history. “You don’t know what will happen until you try,” he said. To win the Emirates Draw grand prize, participants must match all seven digits of the winning sequence. If they match only six out of seven digits, they will win Dh777,777.
