Indian expat on vacation gets Dh300,000 surprise from Big Ticket Abu Dhabi

DUBAI – An Indian expatriate on vacation in his home country got the surprise of his life after finding out via email that he won Dh300,000 in the Big Ticket draw in Abu Dhabi. Manubhai Chauhan only noticed the email from Big Ticket two days after his ticket was picked to win the cash prize. He also missed a call from Big Ticket host Bouchra. When he later called the Big Ticket helpdesk to confirm if he won, he was told that he indeed won Dh300,000 in the draw. Manubhai, a resident of Gujrat in India, has been purchasing Big Ticket tickets for the past seven years and always shared the cost of the ticket with his friends. Before travelling to India on vacation, he decided to take a chance and buy a Big Ticket on his own. He never imagined that his vacation would be made more enjoyable after receiving such exciting news. Manubhai’s winning ticket number 065049 was chosen via the weekly electronic draw and the same ticket will also be dropped into the Big Ticket drum, giving him a chance of becoming a millionaire on May 3.
