Indian parents fly to Dubai to find son, return heartbroken

An Indian couple who flew to Dubai to search for their missing son were heartbroken after discovering that he had died, according to reports. The body was undiscovered for days since their son lived alone in the emirate, according to a media report on Tuesday (August 8). A forensic report indicated heart attack as the cause of death. The couple reportedly begged their son to go back to India after being separated from him for more than ten years, but he had refused. Ashraf Thamarassery, a social worker, said the couple's son faced problems in their hometown after a failed engagement and "never returned" after the incident. After losing contact with their son for several months, the parents decided to travel to the UAE to start their own search. They had very little information on his whereabouts, but decided to knock on numerous doors. When they finally located his apartment, they found out that he had died of a heart attack and that his body was in a morgue. They later identified his body. The man's body has been repatriated to India after all the necessary procedures had been completed. JG/Expat Media
