Indian wins McLaren in Dubai without buying raffle ticket

DUBAI – Indian national Balvir Singh couldn’t believe his luck when he found out he won a McLaren 570S Spider worth Dh760,000 in Dubai. He didn’t even have to buy a raffle ticket for it. All he did was renew the registration of his mobile number. Singh received the supercar on Monday (February 25), saying that the “unexpected prize has improved the future of my life and also the lives of my family and friends”. The McLaren is part of telecom operator du’s promotion to encourage customers with expired ID registrations to renew the registration of their mobile numbers before January 31. Singh renewed his ID registration before the deadline to enter the draw for the McLaren. Du customers can renew the registration of their mobile number online or through the du app to avoid a suspension of service. “It is truly life changing and I am blessed and overwhelmed at the opportunities this has provided me. I have been in the UAE since the last ten years and will continue to be here. I thank du for making my life beautiful,” he said.
