iPhone 7: UAE launch date and other FAQs plus more details about the iPhone 7 Plus

  DUBAI – Apple unveiled its latest iPhones on Wednesday (September 7) with the launch of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Here’s all you need to know about the latest Apple devices. WHAT'S NEW? Camera: The new iPhone 7 Plus will have two camera lenses for zooming and wide-angle shots. The iPhone 7 has 12 megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, Focus Pixels, Optical Image Stabilisation, quad-LED (dual tone) flash and 4K video recording, with a  7MP front camera equipped with f/2.2 aperture and can handle 1080p recording quality. The iPhone 7 Plus features dual 12MP camera (f/1.8, 28mm & f/2.8, 56mm), Focus Pixels, OIS, 2x optical zoom, quad-LED (dual tone) flash and 4K video recording, and a 7MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture that can handle 1080p recording quality. Colour: Both phones will come in Rose Gold, Gold, Silver and Black. The Jet Black colour will also be available for the 128GB and 256GB options. Size and weight:  The iPhone 7 is 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1 mm in size and and weighs 138 grams, while the iPhone 7 Plus is 158.2 x 77.9 x 7.3 mm in size and weighs 188 grams. Storage: The phones will come in 32GB, 128GB and 256 GB sizes. Battery life: Two hours more battery life than the iPhone 6. Processor: The new iPhone will include a new processor, called A10 Fusion, that is 50 per cent faster than the iPhone 6s, according to Apple. Sound: Both the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have dual speakers, which means better external audio. Other features: water and dust resistant The new iPhone doesn’t have a headphone jack. Headphones will now connect with lighting connectors, although a converter will ship with the new iPhone 7. Apple wants you to use wireless headphones, which include the new Apple wireless Airpods. WHEN IS IT GOING TO BE AVAILABLE IN THE UAE? The UAE will be one of the first countries to get the new iPhone 7, which will be available in the emirates on September 16. HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
