Study projects number of Muslims around the world to increase by 73% from 2010 to 2050

A study by the Pew Research Center showed that Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. The research also showed that Muslims will outnumber Christians in the next three decades. According to the recent study, Muslims will have grown in number across the world by 73 percent between 2010 and 2050 followed by Christians at 35 percent during the same period, and Hindus at 34 percent. It estimated that by the year 2050, 10 percent of all Europeans are projected to be members of the Muslim faith by 2050. The big increase in the number of Muslims from 2010 to 2050 is due to the fact that Muslim women have more children, the Pew study said.
