Actress and vlogger Ivana Alawi has brushed off a recent prediction by psychic Rudy Baldwin, who claimed that a well-known vlogger-actress would die in 2025 due to cancer. Baldwin made the forecast during an episode of Rated Korina last month, providing clues that led many to speculate that she was referring to Ivana. The psychic described the individual as a "beautiful, sexy actress and vlogger" with two siblings—one male and one female—and a father of foreign descent. Given Ivana’s Filipino-Moroccan heritage and her career as both an actress and content creator, social media users were quick to make the connection. Speaking at a media thanksgiving party on March 7, Ivana dismissed the prediction and assured fans that she is in good health. She did, however, acknowledge a past health scare in 2024, when she was hospitalized due to ascites, a condition caused by polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) that led to fluid buildup in her abdomen and affected her breathing. "I'm doing okay," Ivana said. "Actually, last week I just had the flu because of my busy schedule, but other than that, I'm much, much better now. I even gained a little weight because of the water retention, but it's improving," she said. Despite the speculation surrounding Baldwin’s prediction, Ivana remains unfazed. "There is no truth to the claim that I have cancer. Please don’t worry, we are healthy," she said in Filipino. "My mom was worried about it too, but I told her to stay calm. No one can predict when a person will pass away—only God knows that." Ivana, one of the most successful vloggers in the Philippines, is also thriving in her acting career. On Sunday (March 9), she entered the Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition as a special houseguest. Looking back on her journey, Ivana admitted that she once considered quitting showbiz due to repeated rejections. "When I was starting out, I really wanted to quit," she recalled. "But I was given an opportunity by my talent manager, Kuya Perry . He helped me enter my dream network, which is ABS-CBN." Her perseverance paid off, and she has since built a strong career both as an actress and an influencer.
