Ras Al Khaimah's Jais Sledder, a highlight of Jebel Jais Adventure Park, is temporarily closed. The official announcement came through the park's website, but no reopening date has yet been provided as of Friday (January 3). "Please note that the Jais Sledder is currently closed, and we thank you for your understanding and patience," the advisory read. The Jais Sledder, a key attraction at the adventure complex nestled in the UAE’s highest mountain range, offers a unique opportunity to zoom down the Hajar mountain on a low-slung track. Riders experience an eight-minute descent at speeds of up to 40km/h as they weave through 1,840 meters of hairpin turns and scenic views. Since its 2022 launch, the ride has gained immense popularity for providing an accessible yet exhilarating adventure for families and tourists. Tickets for the Jais Sledder were priced at Dh50 for adults or Dh65 for one adult and a child, making it a budget-friendly option for families. As the attraction awaits its reopening, visitors can still explore other offerings at Jebel Jais.
