In a highly anticipated match, YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul defeated two-time heavyweight champion Mike Tyson by unanimous decision in Texas. The fight, streamed live on Netflix, showcased a slow and out-of-practice Tyson, 58, facing Paul, 27, in an eight-round bout. Judges scored 80-72, 79-73, and 79-73 in favor of Paul. "I came to fight," Tyson said, despite criticisms over the legitimacy of the match. Tyson landed only 18 punches in the entire fight, compared to Paul's 78. "I knew he was a good fighter. He was prepared, I came to fight. I didn't prove nothing to anybody, only to myself. I'm not one of those guys that live to please the world. I'm just happy with what I can do," Tyson said in a post match interview. Paul, celebrating his 11th professional win, praised the boxing legend. "First and foremost, Mike Tyson - it's an honor to be able to fight him," said Paul, "It was as tough and hard as I thought it would be." He xpressed ambitions to face boxing star Canelo Alvarez. Critics called the fight a "mockery of boxing," but fans enjoyed the spectacle, which generated $20 million in revenue as it played out in front of a sold-out crowd at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The match reportedly earned Paul £30 million and $15 million for Tyson.
