In a groundbreaking leap forward, Osaka-based Science Co. is set to debut its futuristic AI-powered human washing machine, the Mirai Ningen Sentakuki, at the 2025 Osaka Kansai Expo. The sleek, pod-like device uses advanced artificial intelligence and cutting-edge cleaning technology to deliver an efficient and relaxing bathing experience in just 15 minutes. Users step into the capsule, which fills with warm water infused with microscopic air bubbles. These bubbles burst to create pressure waves that gently clean the skin. “This isn’t just a cleaning machine—it’s a wellness experience,” said Yasuaki Aoyama, chairman of Science Co. and a pioneer in shower technology. “We’re about 70 percent of the way there.” Beyond cleanliness, the machine promotes mental relaxation. Embedded electrodes monitor the user’s biological signals, enabling the AI to adjust water temperature and project soothing visuals, leaving users refreshed and tranquil. The concept is inspired by a prototype unveiled at the 1970 Osaka Expo by Sanyo Electric Co. Aoyama, who witnessed it as a child, has reimagined the concept with modern AI and technological advancements.
