For singer Jarren Garcia, performing abroad has always been a dream—and that dream finally came true when he took the stage at Kalayaan 2025 in Dubai alongside fellow PBB Gen 11 alum Kai Montinola. “How thankful I am for all of you guys who came today. Performing here is such a dream. I never imagined I would be performing,” Jarren told a cheering Filipino crowd at the Dubai World Trade Centre on Sunday (June 1). The event was presented by Emirates Loves Philippines and organized by Infinite Communities. Jarren serenaded the crowd with some classic love songs before guiding Kai back on stage for a duet of the hit song "Palagi". Kai affectionately introduced him as “the cutest, tall, dark, handsome guy.” The chemistry was unmistakable, and not just onstage. “Working with Kai, it just happens so naturally. Because we're the same age. We both love singing and performing. Our voices sound so good together. So I feel like it was just inevitable,” he said in a previous interview. The pair's collaboration is expected to continue with an upcoming music project teased by StarPop. “We are working on music together,” Jarren confirmed. Offstage, Jarren explored Dubai with full gusto. He went on a desert safari, dressed in traditional kandoura and gutra, and took a cruise around Dubai Marina with his parents. Jarren is expected to be in Dubai until Thursday before flying back to the Philippines where he is scheduled for a performance with The Juans in a concert in Toledo City on June 7. Beyond music, Jarren has also been tapped as one of the new VJs for MYX, a role that aligns with his interest in hosting. As for his Dubai debut, it was a milestone that left a lasting impression—both for him and the audience. CAM/Expat Media
