As Filipino pop-rock sensation The Juans prepare for their first international solo concert in Dubai, the band reflects on the sacrifices that have shaped their journey. Performing at The Agenda on October 5, the band is set to deliver a night of emotional music and high-energy performances, including the live debut of their latest single, “Rebound.” Answering Expat Media's question at their Dubai media conference on Thursday (October 3), lead vocalist Carl Guevarra shared how being away from loved ones took a toll on the band. “I had to sacrifice a lot of time away from my family,” Carl told Expat Media. “We’ve let go of so many things just to embrace our purpose and calling.” Japs Mendoza, the band’s lead guitarist, echoed this sentiment, adding, “We’ve given up time with family and even safety because of all the traveling.” The band likened their experience to that of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), constantly on the move to pursue their passion. Despite these challenges, The Juans remain grateful for the support they’ve received from their growing fan base. The concert in Dubai is a major milestone for the group, following the release of their new single, “Rebound,” which speaks about self-worth and overcoming heartbreak. Fans can purchase tickets starting at Dh180 through Platinumlist, with a 20 percent discount for students. The night promises to be a memorable one, as The Juans take their music to an international stage for the first time. The concert is organized by Kenz Global Events. ICA/PIA/Expat Media
