Cebu personality Jude Bacalso is now facing multiple charges as the waiter in the viral "sir" incident has sued the former TV host and social media influencer. Months after the incident, the waiter formally filed charges of Unjust Vexation, Grave Scandal, Grave Coercion, Grave Threats, and Slight Illegal Detention against Bacalso at the Cebu City Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday (August 28). It can be recalled from the viral Facebook post by netizen John Calderon last July where he detailed Bacalso allegedly reprimanding the waiter for misgendering and addressing her as "sir," and making him stand for two hours. The post garnered widespread attention from Filipino netizens, including Filipinos in the UAE, who condemned Bacalso's actions as excessive and unwarranted. FLE/Expat Media
