Actress Julia Montes has addressed and debunked the persistent rumors that child actress Zia Grace is her and long-time partner Coco Martin’s love child. In a candid interview with veteran journalist Karen Davila, Montes admitted that while the resemblance between Zia and Martin is striking, the rumors are simply not true. “Zia, when you look at her, she has the same features as Coco. So even we, when we talk, agree that Zia could be mistaken for our child because of the resemblance. But no, she is not our daughter. Zia has parents of her own,” Montes said in Filipino. Montes emphasized the unfairness of dragging the young actress and her family into a controversy, especially as Zia is just beginning her career in the entertainment industry. “It’s pitiful for her parents. It’s overwhelming. But Zia is happy because we often joke about taking her home with me. Then she will say, ‘Yes, I will come.’ So we really do have a special relationship,” she added warmly. When asked whether she and Martin, who confirmed their 12-year relationship in May 2023, plan to have children of their own, Montes replied without hesitation: “Yes, of course.
