UAE authorities expect the busiest day at the airports will be on July 2 to coincide with the end of the Eid holidays, with total daily traffic exceeding 305,000 passengers. The number of passengers through UAE airports surged beginning on Friday (June 23) and will continue to peak until early July, according to airport authorities. The UAE is expecting an estimated total of 5 million passengers during the Eid holidays. At Abu Dhabi International Airport, the number of passengers is expected to exceed 900,000 people during the period until July 7, on board more than 5,000 flights to 59 countries. In Dubai, the Dubai International Airport is expecting to receive r3.5 million passengers between June 20 and July 3, with an average daily movement of 252,000 passengers. In Sharjah, the Sharjah International Airport expects to receive more than 4 million passengers throughout the summer season.

Here are some tips to beat the holiday rush:

1. Be aware of the latest travel regulations to your destination and make sure you have all the necessary documents with the required validity before reaching the airport. Use online check in  or self-service check-in facilities wherever available to save time. 3. You can also save a lot of time by weighing your luggage at home, checking your documents in advance, and being prepared for security checks. 4. Use public transport, such as Dubai Metro, to get to and from the airport. Metro operating times are extended during Eid holidays. 6. Use the airport’s designated car parks or valet service to receive their guests in comfort as access to the arrivals forecourt is limited to public transport and other authorised vehicles.
