After making a dazzling debut at Kalayaan 2025 in Dubai, Kai Montinola is ready to hit another milestone in her music journey—her first album launch. The Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 finalist announced that the album, titled "Kai’s The Limit," will be released through a concert on June 28. The event is not just a performance but a celebration of the journey she has embraced since leaving the PBB house. “This is what I really wanted to do. So finally being able to experience this with the people that are supporting me,” Montinola said in an interview with ABS-CBN. Her album will include seven tracks that showcase a rich blend of genres, languages, and dialects—a nod to her diverse musical taste and cultural background. “I’m from Cebu and I would want to represent that I’m Cebuana and I’m proud to be Cebuana. Therefore, you might be able to hear a song of mine that will be in Bisaya,” she said. While none of the tracks are her original compositions, Kai hinted at future releases featuring her own songwriting. “I have written a couple of songs before. And I plan to maybe use one of my compositions with different artists—maybe not in this album, but soon.” Montinola also praised her fellow PBB Big 4 housemates Kolette Madelo, Fyang Smith, and Rain Celmar, who are also pursuing their own musical paths. “Just look at us now—having our own individual concerts for our albums. We’re going on our own paths and ventures in life as artists. Hopefully, people will support us.” Montinola’s Kalayaan 2025 performance at the Dubai World Trade Centre on Sunday (June 1) was a crowd favorite. It also sparked excitement when she was told that fellow Filipino artist Aya of BINI said she wanted Kai to play her in a movie, to which Kai replied, “I am so open to doing it.” Kalayaan 2025 was presented by Emirates Loves Philippines and organized by Infinite Communities. Singing may be her first love, but acting is fast becoming her second. “I’m diving into the world of acting which I’m starting to love,” she said.
