Al Ain is turning red, blue, yellow, and white this June as the Filipino community prepares for the biggest Philippine Independence Day celebration in the emirate. Set for Saturday (June 7), Kalayaan 2025 Al Ain will transform Al Ain British School into a festival ground starting at 8am, offering a packed day of patriotic revelry, entertainment, and community spirit. Organized by Event Sphere Party Organizing, the event is touted to be the “grandest and largest” Philippine Independence Day celebration in Al Ain. “Gather your teams. Wave your flags. Let’s raise our voices in unity! Let’s celebrate freedom the Filipino way — grand, proud, and unforgettable,” organizers urged. Filipino organizations will kick things off with a grand parade, followed by cultural and modern performances by local talents. There will also be singing and dancing competitions, a student painting contest, and raffle draws featuring cash and prizes. Another highlight is the Kalayaan Market, showcasing Filipino food, products, and brands — a celebration of Filipino entrepreneurship. Fitness fans can join Zumba for a Cause with Paolo Cordero and Friends, while sports enthusiasts can catch or participate in basketball and volleyball games throughout the day. The event is organized in partnership with United Filipino Community Al Ain – UFCAA, PTCH Sports & Events, and Creative Style Tailoring – Al Ain City. Those interested in joining as participants, sponsors, or performers can register here or call 055 8821977, 056 2406712, 056 2566143 or 054 3815524. With pride, color, and community spirit, Kalayaan 2025 in Al Ain aims to be a celebration Filipinos won’t forget. ICA/Expat Media
