Filipinos in the UAE are gearing up for the biggest Philippine Independence Day celebration in Dubai, as Kalayaan 2025 takes over the Dubai World Trade Centre (Halls 1 & 2) this Sunday (June 1) from 8am to 8pm—with free admission. Headlining the grand event are actress Julia Barretto, The Voice Teens Philippines grand winner MJ Cayabyab, and Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 celebrities Kai Montinola and Jarren Garcia, who are set to perform in a show-stopping finale. Presented by Infinite Communities, Emirates Loves Philippines and TFC, Kalayaan 2025 promises a 12-hour extravaganza of Filipino pride, culture, and entertainment. “We’re bringing together the biggest names and the brightest talents to give our kababayans a celebration to remember,” said the organizers during the event kickoff. “Come for the fun, stay for the community—and leave with unforgettable memories,” organizers said.Here are 12 reasons not to miss the event:
