The Kalayaan 2025 Youth Art Competition is now officially open in Dubai, offering budding Filipino artists a platform to showcase their creativity at one of the UAE’s biggest Philippine Independence Day celebrations.

Organized in collaboration with the Fil Arts Guild, the competition aims to spotlight the talent of young Filipino artists in the UAE. Whether you work in acrylic, oil, mixed media, or digital formats, your masterpiece could earn you the title of Best Young Artist in Dubai — along with the coveted Kalayaan 2025 Art Trophy. If you’re between 13 and 21 years old and have a passion for painting or digital art, this is your moment to shine. Artwork must be 60x60 cm in size and submitted by May 21. Entries can be sent in traditional or digital format, with submissions and inquiries directed to filartsguild@gmail.com. The top entries will be proudly displayed during the grand Kalayaan 2025 celebration on June 1 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, Halls 1 and 2, from 8am to 8pm, where the winner will also be announced on stage. The Kalayaan celebration is not just a cultural gathering — it’s a day-long extravaganza with hourly entertainment, food bazaars, an indoor market, and free entry for all. Though Philippine Independence Day is officially on June 12, the UAE’s Filipino community will mark it early with this massive celebration on June 1. “This is more than just an art contest,” organizers shared. “It’s about giving the youth a chance to express their heritage and identity through art while being part of a celebration that brings thousands of Filipinos together.” Kalayaan 2025 is presented by Infinite Communities and Emirates Loves Philippines. ICA/Expat Media
