Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has revealed an exciting new landmark project in Kalba: the Kalba Gate. This ambitious initiative aims to seamlessly connect the area's natural and cultural treasures, enhancing the visitor experience and boosting local tourism. The Kalba Gate project features a scenic walkway that bridges the lush Hanging Gardens with the tranquil Al Hefaiyah Lake. Designed with visitor safety in mind, the pathway will be equipped with railings, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape from a unique vantage point. "The Kalba Gate project is not just an infrastructural marvel but a symbol of our commitment to blending natural beauty with cultural heritage," said Dr. Sheikh Sultan. "Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the stunning vistas of Kalba while exploring its rich history." The project is part of a broader initiative to enhance Kalba's appeal, including a new museum dedicated to the city's customs, traditions, and folk songs, and a park surrounding the historic Khor Kalba Fort, which has been impacted by flooding. Additionally, Dr. Sheikh Sultan announced an environmental, archaeological, and heritage tourism program that leverages Kalba's unique attributes to draw more visitors. With the Kalba Gate at its core, these projects are set to transform Kalba into a must-visit destination, celebrating both its natural beauty and cultural richness. ICA/Expat Media
