Fans have taken to social media to express their frustration after US rock band Kiss cancelled their Dubai concert without an explanation. Organisers announced that Kiss have cancelled their show just two days before their anticipated concert at Coca-Cola Arena on Friday (October 13). The Dubai leg was supposed to be part of their final End of the Road world tour, and was their only stop in the Middle East. Kiss have not yet commented on their concert cancellation as of Saturday (October 14), leaving fans frustrated over the “unprofessional information policy towards fans”. “Why no statement for Dubai...?!?!?!? People bought flightickets and hotels and there is no official statement. WHY? ” Martin Loi wrote on Kiss’s Facebook page, echoing sentiments from other fans. Swedish fan Michel Banen asked for an “imminent statement” that organisers promised. “Shame on KISS!” Banen said, quoting Kiss singer Gene Simmons: “We owe our fans a lot.. without them we are nothing.” “I am criticizing the lame and unprofessional information policy towards fans. And it is the 3rd time I am experiencing it! It is all about proper communication — but if there is none — it feels like getting cheated!” Eku Want, a German professor and Kiss fan, wrote in a comment. Other fans speculated that Kiss may have cancelled their concert because of the ongoing conflict between Palestinian militant group Hamas and Israel, with one fan pointing out that two of the Kiss members are Jewish.
